A beauty with brains, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II regatta chronograph is the first sailing watch to feature a programmable countdown feature with a mechanical memory.
A technical feat, the mechanical memory system of the Yacht-Master II allows skippers to program the yachting countdown timing to suit different starting sequences.
The highlught here is its grooved ring command bezel, engraved with 10 Roman numerals. Rotatable up to 90 degrees, it allows the user to access the countdown function when turned counter-clockwise.
The desired timing is then adjusted using the crown and then locked in by turning bezel back to its original position. Should the countdown start too early or too late, the Yacht-Master II also allows for easy synchronisation to a subsequent signal by activating the reset pusher at '4'.
At the heart of this show-stopper lies the new 4160 caliber, which features a blue Parachrom balance spring with a Breguet overcoil for 10 times more resistance to shock. Available in white gold or yellow gold with matching bracelet.
